DescriptionExcessive stuttering in newly generated chunks while progressing forward. Goes away once entire chunk is visited. Also doesn't seem to be applying the terrain texture as far down as it should. (picture as reference)

I wasn't seeing any stuttering while testing yesterday. Can you give me a better idea how to reproduce this? Are there specific region types you are seeing this in?

I'm having this happen quite alot as well. I'd originally thought it was Windows interfering, but that wasnt the case. The game is doing it in basically every area. Seems very random. Outdoor areas more than caves. The worst bit generally comes when a boss is defeated or a mission ends, the game hangs for a couple of seconds before sorta catching itself, though every now and then it'll do this even when you're just running around.

It's not making it unplayable, but it's still a bit difficult to deal with.

I am not, however, getting the wierd draw issue as in that screenshot, and this isnt just happening in new/unexplored chunks either, it's happening in any chunk, even somewhere like a settlement or a mission staging area.

Hopefully this does it:

* The maximum minimap size has been returned to 256 rather than 512, as that was causing more lag than anticipated.


In terms of the draw issue, that's working as expected.

The stuttering has been fixed, but its been replaced with a very pronounced hitching periodically. Seems as though its having to load assets on the fly, as it usually occurs when an enemy jumps, (changing what png file its displays), or fires an attack.

Okay, thanks for the added details. I was worried we had two issues, and it looks like I was right. There was a point where I suddenly had a second or two of complete freeze while exploring an unremarkable cave and not being attacked by any enemies. We'll see what we can find on it.
