Summary | 0008476: Jumpship should be immune to Black hole machines?
Description | At the moment Spire Jumpships aren't immune to black hole machines. I just got my nice shiny mark IV Jumpship stuck because of this, seems a bit annoying. What do we think? or am I going to set off on a rescue mission.

I think giving them black hole machine immunity would be fine, and not be too abusable. 1. Their transport capacity is rather crud, thus making them impractical to "ferry" armies through and out of black hole areas. 2. Their lifetime on hostile planets tends to be crud, so you can't repeatedly use them back and forth to get over their transport capacities. |
|
i think it is there mainly to prevent them being abused as scouts. since they can teleport instantly many many wormholes deep if something didnt stop them. |
|
Jumpships don't have scout ability though, and their purpose is to go many wormholes deep I presume. What stops them is self attrition at an enemy world, depending on the mark level of the ship. |

micro jump pause unload scout pause microjump pause ..... rine repeat scout homeworlds instantly |
