Summary | 0008342: Storm Dash restores mana
Description | Storm Dash can be activated while the player has low mana, and will set the player's current mana value to half of their maximum (the point where the spell would normally cut out, as in issue 8100). If this is not intentional, it is highly exploitable. I have observed this bug since v1.037, but it could possibly be older. My current character is an Ice Age PC with 461.6 HP, 102% attack, 602 mana, and 19% mana regen bonus.

Is this in multiplayer? |
|
No, it's in single-player. I do have a correction, though: my first observation of it was one of the builds on the 30th, not v1.037. (I lose track of time, it seems) Is there any additional info I could provide that would be helpful, if this problem seems to be unique to me? |

Do you have a world folder that you could upload where we can easily duplicate this? I'm wondering if this has something to do with specific enchants or something, because I've not noticed this in my own brief testing. |

I have uploaded my compressed worlds folder (containing the single world I play on). My game is completely unmodded; I've not even touched the texture swaps. The only things really making my install unique would be my combination of platform (Win7 x64), world, and options. I've tried tweaking every setting that seemed even remotely relevant, including switching from gamepad input to keyboard, and testing the issue in nearly every in-game environment access to; nothing I've done so far seems to prevent it from being trivially reproducible on my system. |

Thanks! We'll see what we can find out. |

For 1.045: * Fixed a bug where ongoing conditions that consume mana (shields, storm dash) were not properly factoring in the presence of mana-increasing enchants and thus cutting off earlier than they should have (because during the mana consumption step it really did look like mana was zero; the mana-increasing-enchants had not yet been fully re-applied). ** This was also causing activating such a mana-consuming condition (like storm dash) when very low on mana to _raise_ your current mana to what it thought was the zero-line. Thanks :) |
