Summary0008312: Coming across Windstorms in Ocean Shallows that are impossible to remove: Allow Buoys to remove them?
DescriptionCurrently, there is no way to remove a storm that I know of if it's in a far out Ocean Shallow if it cannot have missions placed on it (IE, Wind Shelter). And since you can't place Wind Shelters in Oceans either, it is possible to wind up with Ocean Shallows that have Windstorms you can NEVER remove. Allowing the placement of Buoys in Ocean Shallows as well as allowing them to remove storms if the adjacent tile is a Shallow would make things a lot more feasible.

Hmm, that shouldn't be happening.

What should happen is that if you get the buoys up next to the ocean shallows, then you can build the wind shelter right on the ocean shallows. When is that not happening?

Hm, well, in the case where it happened, it said it was because the region couldn't contain missions. I seem to have worked my way around it though, so maybe this was an isolated case. I'll keep an eye out for future occurrences, but perhaps I jumped the gun on this suggestion. My apologies!

It's been reproduced. I have a Lieutenant in a far out Ocean Shallow with no nearby land that I can put a windmill on. I cannot put a Windmill on the Shallow either, so it is permanently stuck in a Windstorm.

Check the westmost lieutenant's area, an Ocean Shallows, to see the issue.

* Ocean shallows are no longer able to hold evil outposts or evil overlord lairs.
** This won't alter existing outposts/lairs, but it will prevent new ones from spawning in such a manner in new worls.
