Description | Some players like puzzles, and some don't. I happen to fall into the former camp, and I would like to see more puzzle elements added to the game, but I recognize that some players would not enjoy this at all.
What I propose is to add a Puzzle Difficulty setting to the game. Currently, this setting would only affect the number of orbs that spawn in Mystery Puzzle Rooms. However, it would open the door for more puzzle elements to be added to the game, without making them mandatory to those who do not wish to solve puzzles. At the lowest puzzle difficulty, the puzzle elements should be essentially nonexistent. If there are rooms where players must solve a puzzle to advance, those rooms might not seed at all on the lowest difficulty; if there is a mission type that involves solving a puzzle, it might be easy enough on the lowest difficulty to solve by pushing buttons at random. |
