Summary | 0008099: Difficult to gauge effects of new health/mana/attack enchants
Description | It's difficult to gauge how the different powered enchants will impact player stats without just buying them all and equipping or mousing over them one-by-one. I would maybe suggest some method of allowing the 10 points to be dispersed to the various stats (+/- 1 point to each until the pool is depleted). Or something that allows better viewing of the end result and impact of each point, while also not requiring 27 enchant inventory slots if I want to keep a full range of options on my person.

If you click the thing in question, it shows you the stats of what they will improve right there. If you wind up wanting to buy all 27 from the opal guardian stone, you can leave these in a bag in the settlement to not clutter up your inventory if you feel the need to experiment. In terms of something that has +/- arrows, I shudder at the thought -- I just spent 8+ hours of dev time getting it to work this way, and that was using an existing subsystem. I don't plan on doing another big rewrite of this any time soon, especially with the deadline for 1.1 looming and a bunch of other stuff to finish up. But honestly I don't see there as being that much of a conundrum anyhow -- if you really do need to experiment that much, you can easily just dump the excess in bags in your settlement if you need. |

This it true, it just doesn't feel as streamlined as I'd like. The move from upgrade stones is, however, an immense improvement that I'm happy to have. Thanks for the added customization options! |

My pleasure! And in terms of further streamlining, I imagine this will be revisited. I just don't have any time in the next couple of weeks, as this has now improved enough that it's not longer the acute most-pressing thing. |
