Summary | 0007849: Rival villages/human raider bases
Description | since reality and time is shattered here and random pieces of it have come together to form livable areas, wouldn't it make sense to have more than one village per continent? And because we humans often have nothing better to do, shouldn't those villages come into conflict? especially over rare resources etc... I could also see bases of human, robot, or whatever the garden age npc's are, raiding settlements for stuff. (I was actually suprised after playing the game to not have run into enemy glyphbearers etc, but thats another issue)

I got the impression that those raiders tend not to have villages - the Ice Pirates, for instance, rely on staying in the air instead, and other unpleasant humans likely hide out where glyphbearers would have difficulty finding them. I also got the impression the Ilari are keeping raiders out, along with the other unpleasant things. Also, humans currently have a lot of better things to do; the problem with infighting is they're more in the state of worrying about the Big Bad Overlord and so will work with the enemies-of-their-enemy. (If they wouldn't, none of the robots would be mixing with humans or even willing to trust any, for one.) However, infighting could make for an interesting post-Overlord thing. |

Whoa and the Ice Pirates are actually really smart glyphbearers who stay safely in a distance and shoot all the monsters to bits, cleansing the land in hopes of returning some day. They don't realize are are monsters, they aren't evil, just misunderstanding. Yeah the Illari are forcing their settlement to have only one glyphbearer at a time, and any others must not be allowed. If there are others, there could be a turf war. |
