I swear there was either a mantis issue on this already, or a post on the forum, but I can find neither. Ideally for me, when you save a game for the first time it would create a folder for that game (prompting me to name the folder, which is separate from the save game name). All future saves of that game would go into the same folder. In this way I have a folder for each game.
Simply an optional line for folder name when saving would be sufficient. Just have it be blank on a new game, or set to the folder a saved game was loaded from. |

I was actually thinking of 1 folder per game as well, but thought that maybe it could be left open to the user to decide how to use the folder system (Or not use it, if they don't want to). I know some of my friends just keep 1 save per game, so they might just want to make folders for solo and groups games, for instance. I kinda envisioned it just being the ability to make folders and go through them, just like any file explorer, except it always starts in the "root" save folder and doesn't let you go above that. I just wasn't sure how easy this would be to implement. |

Even if you only keep 1 save per game, it's too easy to misclick and overwrite another game's save. I really like having one folder per game (for instance, Mass Effect also does it like this, with one folder per "career"). |
