Description | A magical barrier is preventing us from reaching a cache of valuable resources. The device maintaining this barrier is known to draw power from a particular color of slime, but we do not know what color is used by this specific device. Fortunately, slimes that power this device become unstable and are easily destroyed. Enter the nearby (building/cavern), find out which slimes are powering the device, and destroy them. * The mission takes place in a building or cave similar to the ones used for Fix the Anachronisms; perhaps a bit smaller. * The building or cave is full of wall-slimes in all color combinations. One color is chosen at random to be unstable (so if that color is purple, then all slimes with purple as one of their colors are unstable). Unstable slimes take large amounts of damage from all attacks, including ones that they would normally absorb (since players shouldn't have to level up 3 different melee spells just to be able to complete this mission). Destroy all the unstable slimes to complete the mission. * The slimes appear in clusters so that you can't pick them off one by one, and you'll have several spells to dodge whenever you want to attack anything. * The only way to determine which color is unstable is to attack the slimes and see which ones take lots of damage. * There is no penalty for attacking a stable slime, except that you waste time and risk getting hit by spells. * Players should want to dodge as many of the slimes' spells as possible (i. e., attacking haphazardly should be a good way to get killed). Perhaps the slimes drop fewer or no health drops, or the spells deal extra damage. * Ultimately, this should combine a "dodge the hazards" mission with some of the "puzzle" feel of the old Fix the Anachronism missions. | ||||
