Summary | 0007756: Show Infestations on Dungeon/Region Map
Description | A pretty self-explanatory suggestion. You wouldn't be able to see that there is an infestation until you actually enter the room, but once entered, the infestation would show up when mousing-over the room on the minimap. It could either just generally say "Infestation" or be more specific, such as "Infestation: Slimes". You could possibly add icons to the rooms for the hazards (Similar to the blinking Warp Gate icon) or change their color. Since Lion Statues rely on the element of surprise, they could still be hidden. This feature would allow you to see if the room you've just entered has an infestation and, if so, if it's one you want to risk. Much like when you enter a Miniboss room and you can see which boss it is.

We thought about this, but ultimately decided it's just a feature of the room, like if there is a building there or whatever other type of enemy, etc. That sort of information (like the infestation data) isn't even stored in RAM if you're not actively in the chunk. We could change that, but we made a conscious decision not to do so. |
