Summary0007621: Let us build and decorate our own house(s)
DescriptionJust an idea while I'm decorating my settlement is an option to build and decorate our house(s) in settlements that we can enter. Purely a cosmetic idea, but we explore all these ruins of buildings with furniture and wall stuff, why not allow us to make our own house :). And we have the shrink spell too. Its just a silly idea I thought of. Ooo, even add a cave underneath for all the mushrooms we find as well :D.

I've found myself wanting something like this as well.

I've never had any luck with shrink. I capture all these cool items, but 90% of the places I try to put them inform me that there is not enough space to use the grow gem. :(

I really like the orangey-wood looking pillars in the lava flats zone, I like placing them down wherever I am able.

Perhaps we could have control over where to place the buildings we build. It's a small thing, but it adds to the customization and the feeling that there are some city-building elements.

It would be cool if I could have a house in settlement.

Besides, the glyphbearers have heavy responsibility defending and rebuilding civilization (or at least a settlement), so they should have houses built by its residents.

However, settlements with default 3 residents would be too weak to build a big house by their own, so I like to have a house which expands with the number of residents, starting with a simple shack, with a single room (despite the fact it renders residents tower shape matter unnatural). If it's possible, of course. It gets even cooler if I can assign a room to a resident (it is always weird to see them running around aimlessly). This will encourage players to rescue survivors.

Maybe instead of a house it could be like a town hall/base? You could still personalize it because you're like the mayor....but it's more like a central area for all your npcs rather than just the on you're controlling.

Hmm, another idea to add is if the NPCs could go in and out of the building. Might be asking too much though.
