DescriptionCurrently Ion cannons are much more common than they were before and gained new mark levels. From other side when you are playing on standard or low ship-caps you have much lower total count of ships. This means that insta-killing one ship hurts that much more.

Hmm, that is a very good point about the impact on the lower caps.

Chris, what do you think about scaling ion cannon reload time to the caps?

In for 3.802:

* Ion Cannon reload times now scale with the unit cap, so they still fire every 2 seconds on High, 4 seconds on Normal, and 8 seconds on Low. This is to maintain relative balance against fleet ships. This means that they are now less effective at stopping scout swarms on Normal and Low (since scout caps don't scale), but we do not anticipate many complaints from that.
