Summary0007534: "Spawned" enemies probably shouldn't drop conciousness shards.
DescriptionThe most egregious offender is the green amoeba spawn. After a battle with a giant green amoeba, the entire battlefield will be covered in shards. It's not pretty, and it could lead to people farming the amoeba for it's endless (I think?) shards.

Tiny faries & the two types of whale spawn aren't so bad in the number of shards produced, but it would make sense to remain internally consistent.

The tiny red fairies seem to drop shards only if damaged first.

Wow, I just spoke about this on the forum. As much fun it was doing that was in my game, I did notice that it can be exploited by going in and out the doorway and coming back later.

So yes, ti could be endless, especially if you sacrifice yourself a lot or enter and exit the door a lot.

I second this suggestion. :)

Still, love the new idea to make enemies worthwhile.

EDIT: Quaix, but it can still be exploited easily I think, which could be a problem. :/

I'm not disagreeing :). Was just adding that not only do they drop shards, but they do it in an inconsistent manner.

* "Minor" monsters like dragon fire, tiny fairies, green amoebas, black/blue whale spawn, and so forth no longer drop consciousness shards.
