Description | I saw your plan for consciousness shards. I worry that missions will now be an inferior way to get the stuff you can buy. Also, if you're going to give the player a choice of what he wants (like a real strategy game), why not have missions give either large batches of consciousness shards or spell ingredients? | ||||

Trust me, if missions are the inferior way to get the stuff you want, then the store is balanced wrong and the prices will go up. |

This is the best time to ask the devs to think about a possible modification to the idea. :) Otherwise I may have to wait for the feature to be implemented, then to lay out my case, then to get enough people to weigh in and express their agreement or disagreement (usually both), and then maybe it'll attracts enough dev attention to merit thinking about it. Usually the latter is not worth the trouble unless it's a really big issue. |

And the player does have choice, as in which 5 missions are accomplished per tier. |

Actually, we've already implemented this and it's just a matter of finalizing what's in the store and such at the moment. |

This is as good a place as any to mention this.... But from the patch notes: Single-Use Items: Upgrade Stones x100 (1,000 shards) Upgrade Stones x250 (2,000 shards) If monsters drop 35-40 shards each, that's like them dropping 4 - 5 upgrade stones each, which is what mini-bosses drop, right? |

I also just reduced the amount of shards that enemies are dropping as well, though; it wasn't quite working out like I'd hoped in terms of balance because you're also collecting shards from exploration. |
