| Description | In the overworld make it [b]feel[/b] windy on the stormy squares. Have some wind sounds and slow down character movement, to, say, 50%. Also, make the player feel the danger of walking on stormy squares. Have "random encounters" every so often which drop the player into the stormy square on second or third screen, making them have to find a way out. (Like what currently happens when you enter ocean shallows, except force it on the player) | ||||

At first, I was like: O_O But then I was like Hmm, that's not such a bad idea since it adds danger to the game and I do enjoy the survival parts of the game. |

Windstorms used to always pull you in, like in the ocean, but it was found to be Not Fun. It might be slightly less Not Fun if it only happens sometimes, but I suspect that in fact that stands a good chance of increasing levels of Not Fun significantly. |

Also, the port on each new continent will have to be in the "safe zone" and the Village will need to be on the coast. Unless forcing the player through the windstorm to safety is ok. But, with all the suggestions of "deeper" wind being worse, leaving this to chance could render an entire continent "impossible" before it was even started. |
