Description | This is a torso enchant designed exclusively for low health characters it works like this Lower Max Health = Better Shields the quickly made up in excel maths I used to investigate used (1 + ( X / Max Health ) as the shield strength modifier, with X being a low base health (I set it to 50). What this does is anyone with X health will get doubled shields, anyone with higher than X will get diminishing returns but still get a benefit of some form, but it doesn't take long before a -X% Damage Taken enchant is better. But more importantly, as this is the role it is designed to fill, anyone with lower health than X will get some fairly big increases in shield strength, coupled with the characters, likely, higher magical power they suddenly are able to survive big hits, assuming they can keep their shield up. Obviously this is a static base enchant type, like windstorm immunity etc For the record at certain extreme numbers this does actually make Low Health Characters theoretically sturdier than medium to high health ones, but given that said numbers require tier 5 shields, lower than 30 health and higher than 200% power increase, I don't find it to be much of a concern. | ||||
