Summary | 0007172: Less slots in the enchant inventory and some ideas
Description | The changes in the latest update regarding enchants sound very good but maybe the 100 slot inventory is too big perhaps if it was reduced in size it would be easier to manage enchants and not confusing for newer players. Also the idea I put in another Mantis ticket regarding taking just one enchant for each slot to a new continent then starting to collect again from there and any enchants left in the inventory on the old continent become character upgrade slots to allow collecting upgrade stones to start again on the new continent. This could be based on a cetain number of enchants equals one upgrade slot. Also I mentioned it before it would be nice if it was possible to highlight the last enchant picked up in some way.

The thing is is that being able to carry enchants from one continent to the next is pretty crucial to how the game is balanced. Each continent gets harder than the last, and if you couldn't bring your enchants over, you wouldn't have any way to deal with the higher difficulty. As for newer players being confused, I'd say that by the time someone has collected 100 enchants, by definition they aren't new. |

I understand what your saying but I still think 100 inventory slots is much too many. I spend quite a bit of time comparing and dumping enchants. With only five slots to fill perhaps 20 slots would work better. Then players would just keep the cream of the enchants collected. |

You have the same number of regular inventory slots as well. You don't have to use them all, and it only shows the number of inventory slots you're actually using, plus one row. All that limiting inventory does is make it so that players have to run around more if they want to hang onto many things. The problem isn't the size of the inventory, it's that players are being hoarders. There are already some threads about that, and we plan an incinerator-with-benefits for sometime after 1.0. |
