| Description | I am using a german keyboard layout. The game tells me (ingame and in the settings) that toggling the message log is "~" or "'", though it is actually "รถ" in my case. I'm used to this kind of thing, but completely new gamers might appreciate a disclaimer that AVWW assumes an english layout. Which should be obvious, I know, but sometimes I still manage to be confused by it. | ||||

We've run into this a lot in AI War also -- lots of German players there. While I understand where you're coming from, given the game is in English I would think that it's a bit implicit we're expecting an English keyboard. Putting in some text seems like it would just clutter the screen further, and too much clutter tends to reduce comprehension rather than increase it. Like you pointed out, Germans are mostly pretty used to missing the tilde. Wish I could do something more, but I just don't think it's feasible on this one. |
