DescriptionI started my second continent with 3 technozoologists and have spent the last 5 hours looking for survivors. I have only two to show for it, none of which is an apothekinesisist(or whatever they're called), which would allow me to use the seek survivor power.
I propose that every profession gets a power scroll that generates a mission to rescue a survivor with a specific other profession. For example, lumbermancers call stonebinders, stonebinders call apothekinesisists and so on. That way, no matter how you start out, you can eventually get every profession you need.
Provided you find the appropriate scrolls, that is...
Maybe every time you find a survivor he comes witch the appropoiate scroll to continue the chain?
Alternatively one could introduce a signal tower that calls for a survivor of the desired profession, gradually increasing the chances of finding an appropriate rescue mission until you do.

For 0.928:


* Changed the rules for picking the profession of a newly generated NPC:
** If the settlement has no existing NPCs, the new NPC can only pick from Lumbermancy, Stonebinding, and Apothekinesis (the last because it can cast Seek Survivors).
** If the settlement has any existing NPCs, the NPC cannot pick the same profession as any of those NPCs unless all six professions are already present in the settlement.
** Note that the first continent still always has a Lumbermancer, a Stonebinder, and an Aquaurgist as its first three NPCs.
** In all, this prevents mapgen from just messing with you and giving you 3 Technozoologists to start with and then continuing to give you more of those (or the other needs-support-from-more-basic-professions ones) for the rescue missions you find. It basically just makes this whole part of the game a lot easier, but that's ok, as getting 1 of each profession isn't supposed to be a herculean task. There's plenty more effort involved in doing anything really significant with them.

Not quite what you asked for, but I think it will be effective. Thanks for the feedback :)
