Summary0006886: Collisions teleport player through walls
DescriptionWhen a player collides with a monster for a long period of time, either the player or the monster will be teleported a short distance. This can teleport the player or the monster through walls and floors. I haven't encountered a serious version of this bug yet, but I wonder if it's possible for the player to be teleported into an inaccessible area.

I think this is related but i have seen the same happen near instantly when a creature collides from above after having been on the ground for barely a second myself, it has kicked me through platforms but also through solid floors.

At one time it unintentionally helped me get down into a rescue from cave mission before, but it did make things a little harder to find my way back up.

Happened to me more than twice on solid floors, and more than a dozen times on platforms.

edit:
Just happened again, this time in a boss room and i got teleported into a square that had walls around it completely and that was filled with water.

Is this in multiplayer? If so, there's not a whole lot we can do about it, I don't think.

It was in multiplayer. I'm not sure if it's exclusive to multiplayer since I don't play much single player.

* Put in extra checks into the "I'm currently in an invalid position" logic so that you can't wind up getting pushed through a wall or other solid object (or having an enemy do the same to you). That was mostly only possible in multiplayer.
** If you and an enemy wind up touching, and the enemy has you pinned against a wall, then consider yourself essentially grappled; greater or lesser teleport would get you out of that sort of sticky spot, but not much else will beyond knocking the enemy back (so splashback and similar are also useful here).
