Description | When you are going to another chunk and it takes a while for the next chunk to load, the chunk you were previously in will fade back in and you can run around and do stuff until the next chunk is ready. Then you teleport to the next chunk. This normally only happens in high lag multiplayer where the next chunk is generating, particularly Skelebot Junkyards. | ||||

This is an MP issue, right? I've never seen this in SP. |

I have yet to see it in single player myself either which is why I categorized it as a multiplayer issue. But I think it has more to do with taking a long time for the next chunk to be available. Which usually only happens with high lag and having to generate the next chunk. |

Thanks! * Previously, if the chunk generation/transmission took longer than about 1 second in multiplayer, then your character would pop back into the chunk they were already in before being teleported to the new chunk. ** Now the game waits 10 seconds instead of 1 before popping you back into the other chunk, and a waiting message should show up if it's been longer than 1 second that you've been waiting. ** Paired with all of the improvements to chunk-gen speed in general, that 10s range should really rarely be passed (though a combination of slow/busy server, complex terrain, and bad network connection could certainly all conspire to hit that). |
