Summary | 0006584: Armor rotting on hardened forcefields does not work correctly
Description | If an hardened forcefield get armor rotting, every few seconds or so, all the rotted armor gets "reset" so they have full armor again. This basically makes armor rotting useless against hardened forcefields.

I have a theory about what is causing this. When near another forcefield and that other forcefield gets hit, that "get damaged by 1HP" rule gets triggered. But that "damaged by 1HP", for whatever reason, resets the amount of armor rotted. I'll see if I can produce a save showing the issue. |

Yet another alternate theory. IIRC, armor rotting recovers at a percentage of max armor per second. As such, with ridiculously huge armor values like the hardened forcefields have, even a large number of armor rotting units are not enough to overcome the crazy armor regeneration rate of high armored units. A fix would be a "time to recover" after taking armor rotting damage before armor starts to regeneration. This will bring it into line with self-healing of HP, which follows a similar rule for HP damage. |
