| Description | Currently there's a massive propensity to start adjacent to MkIV planets when selecting near the centre of a concentric circles map. In fact, so far I've ALWAYS started next to MKIV planets in this position. I love the idea of starting in the middle and working my way out but at the moment the only way to do so whilst maintaining a consistent difficulty is by turning down some of the other settings. The way I see it, if this is by design then it needs to have some indication when selecting your starting position on these kinds of maps. Otherwise, I'd suggest tuning it down a bit to make this selection more interesting - and it's more challenging anyway - without making it such a step up in difficulty as to just be rather frustrating. All that said, maybe the rebalancing before launch will quell these concerns anyway, so nothing might need to be done. | ||||

Heh, people see all sorts of patterns where there are none. You've just been unlucky, he position of the planets has literally no effect on which ones get upgraded on any map seed. Starting next to at least 1 mark iv planet has always been very common in general, though. |
