Description | Inspired by 0006176, the idea here is a simple one: perform some primarily-outdoor activity - killing a boss, rescuing an NPC, setting up a wind shelter, something - whilst a magical storm rages.
The storm would be demonstrated visually somehow (whatever's easy implemented to achieve an appropriate effect) and have some pervading characteristics, such as cutting your maximum mana in half but doubling its recharge speed and/or halving the damage of your spells but doubling their speed of travel - to give it a different magical balance from other parts of the game. Enemies abounds.
Perhaps there would be some way (by travelling further into the region than is strictly necessary and fighting past an optional boss) to set up a pylon to negate the effects of the storm. |
