Summary0006168: Fuzzy platforms
DescriptionWell, after two-week absence I begin new game at last.

And first thing that drown my attention was this "new" platforms (I wasn't in touch last month or so, so gravity/water affected platforms still new for me).

And now complaints! :)

1. Now I cannot place platform where I want it. Maybe it was always such way, but before gravity appeared it wasn't an issue - I always could put platform in mid-air.

Now it's all changed, and acid pits is the problem. I need to place row of platforms... but I cannot! It simply doesn't appear until some distance - and as I cannot place it exactly "in this millimeter", it means inevitable holes in my path. Ouch.

Suggestion: can you make "auto-shifting" platforms? (Again, maybe? I think, it worked similar to that before?). So if I try to put platform in too tight place, it could shift to available direction. I.e. if I am clicking too close to left shore, platform would appear in full extent, but shifted to right, accordingly to it's length. It would be great help to create gapless ledges like pre-made ones.

2. When I spoke about impossibility of creating platform too close, I was not exactly right. It's still possible to make "close" platforms - underwater. It will be "shrinked" version of original. Looks like a bug for me. Result will be
like that seen at included screenshot.

Welcome back!

However, with this one you simply can't make an unbroken line of platforms: you'll always be likely to fall through. They are meant to be things you jump to, not bridges you run across.

Hmm. But why? I seen a lot of pre-made rooms where platforms are exactly "bridges". Why I cannot make it myself (without too much hassle)? :)

Those are a different kind of platforms -- they are built into the background, and are part of the tiles. The sort you are creating are free-floating objects that are subject to entirely different rules for spawning, gravity, and so on. This lets them float and do other things, and gives you both more and less flexibility.
