| Description | This is a comparison between the beam-starship and its closest fleetship in the mark-III category, as it's internally ranked as a mark-III ship. Its bonuses are against Turret (8x) and Ultralight (6x). Beam Starship CapHealth 13500000 Armour 4000 MoveSpeed 48 CapMetalCrystalCost 570000 CapEnergyCost 18000 AttackRange 11000 CapDPS-Base 33600 CapDPS-Max(Turret) 268800 ShipCap 3 ZenithBeamFrigateIII CapHealth 36036000 Armour 900 MoveSpeed 56 CapMetalCrystalCost 390000 CapEnergyCost 7800 AttackRange 9800 CapDPS-Base 213942 ShipCap 39 If we brought this in-line with the starships being more durable and less damaging philosophy: - the HP should be doubled or tripled (armour would make up some of the rest) - damage tripled (give them 3 beams just to be a little different?), removing the bonus types until further balancing. - As it stands, one starship is a about 2 beam-frigates-IIIs......... I know Beam starships and Warbirds are somewhat of an orphan from earlier versions, but I really want these ships to be a cool addition to the fleet since it can't be unlocked normally. Given that it looks like a Bentusi trade-vessel :P, would it be thematic to tweak this ship as a powerful multi-beam vessel? | ||||
