Summary0000571: Threat jumping early in game, just not immediately ;)
DescriptionLooks like even after the precautions to avoid starting threat overflow and assigning special forces, the AI is still out for blood :o

Attached screen shows the threat at 1000+ 4 minutes into the game. It crawled its way up steadily and eventually capped at roughly 1500. Luckily for me it was mostly MkIVtachyon microfighters and I was able to withstand the assault after which things seemed to return to normal, but is anyone else experiencing this?

Addendum: Early threat increase starts around 1:20 from start. Have tried different unit cap scales and on different seeds. Threat increase occurs on all unit cap scales, but seems scaled proportionally to chosen unit cap i.e. at 5 minutes into a scenario, a little under 200 threat on low unit scale, 600+ on high unit scale for same scenario.

This is definately happening to me too. It looks like 0000475 really wasn't fixed by this release. Attached a save of mine where this occurs.

I'm sorry to say this guys, but the game is broken for regular play right now, regardless of ship cap level. You will inevitably be annihalated before the five minute mark due to neverending threat increase, 15 minutes if you play with high ship caps.

I can't do any kind of testing with this. I've tried in every way to get around this, but building turrets is too expensive, and the few ships you manage to get up before the Mk IIIs and IVs start flowing in are miniscule at best.

Doesn't seem to be a proper workaround either, so this is a pure showstopper, at least for me. I can't find any way around it. I'm literally dead before I even get the first wave warning.

We will certainly be working on this, but if you want a workaround I suggest cheating ;)
