Summary | 0005682: buildable Structures in settlement parallax set too high
Description | The buildings move by faster than the fences in front of them. This is not new to this release, just bugging it since it's been in at least 2 now.

Yeah, I spent a lot of time tuning that to just the right amount of wrong parallax. There's no other way to actually see everything in the settlement if you have more than a certain number of buildings. And, you might notice, the mountains or forest in the background move faster than the fence in front of them, too. That's the nature of this kind of fakey parallax, is that the stuff that is in parallax moves faster than the foreground. But then the stuff that is furthest away moves slowest, and the other stuff moves faster. A lot of the classic Sonic games use some kind of similar parallax to what we're doing here, too. At any rate, that it's doing this isn't news to me, it took literally hours of tuning to get it to do precisely this. ;) |
