The polite version is: no way in hades. ;) Writing a fuller physics engine from scratch isn't my thing, and would be increibly buggy. I've done bits of that before, and so I know he pain involved. Thing is, I actually really dislike all he modern emphasis on quasi-real physics in platformer games: it makes everything feel loose and unpredictable, and not really any more realistic because of the nature of the crazy jumps and whatever that are paired with it. I really love havok in things like fps games, but I like my platformers more old school. :) |
