Summary | 0005465: Preservation Wardens in multiplayer games
Description | Having jumped back into AI War last night with a group of five on 7/7, Neinzul Preservation Wardens seemed particularly deadly early game (30 minutes or so before our ultimate loss in 60 from a wave of 0000001:0000001-1.5k ships; ouch). I had around six of their starships constantly harassing my front which slowly bled me out. How does this AI faction particularly scale with the amount of players in the game, and how does it choose its targets? I had four planets adjacent to AI territory, but they clearly chose to focus their forces on only one of my planets, and my allies weren't attacked as severely as I was. Proposition: Preservation Wardens shouldn't be allowed to focus on a single player; they should act as independent agents and in proportion to the offending players' expansionism in accordance to their faction description, and perhaps they also need to be toned down overall, especially in multiplayer setting. As independent entities, they should each take their own 'protesting' fronts instead of keying in on one specific area.
