Allowing orders from any tile really works well in combination with the strategy turn clock. It'd be obvious when you go to town that you're about to end the strategy turn. But even without that, it makes sense. You're communicating using magic, (similar to the old Dune PC game) and this allows the strategy to be much more immediate. Find a stranded NPC? Ask for a guy in your settlement to rescue him. Get stuck in a cave? See if you can call one of your settlement NPCs to come rescue you. This BTW would allow for much more dangerous caves. |
