Summary | 0005214: Desert Burrower movement could use a tweak
Description | Desert Burrowers currently chase you and then sit directly underneath you without moving. This makes it easy to kite a room full of them inside a building using a platform or ladder and kill them en masse. I would recommend changing them so that they either: a) Continue past the player a short distance after attacking the player, maybe around four character widths, before turning around and making another pass. b) Completely ignore the player if he is more than a certain height above the burrower

Hmmm, I'm curious, what level are you when they are doing this? I'm asking because the enemy AI changes by level somewhat. |
|
I just checked, and it seems to happen at chunk level 16 and up, so it's probably tied to the AI behaviors from .541. It only happens when a particular burrower enters 'chase' mode, so it looks like the exact behavior of chase mode is what I'm encountering. |
