| Description | (edited the title to be a bit more clear) The recent addition of furniture, and better room generation has already done wonders for the interiors of buildings. But I realized there was still something missing, especially in `familiar buildings' (modern age and earlier): windows. I still feel like I'm traversing endless cellars instead of houses. Cleverly placed window graphics which change in brightness depending on the time of day would help a lot to fix this (as for the clever placement, you probably don't want windows in between doors, and there are probably some other positions that would be awkward for windows to be as well). Perhaps you could also make them drop you outside when used. Would save some time/resources spent warping/tracking back, but it could be awkward if you could drop out of the window by accident (perhaps add a prompt). My main suggestion is cosmetic though. | ||||

Yeah, this isn't a bad idea. I'm not sure about them being usable, but I'll talk to Chris about the best way to get decent looking windows into the game. But, in the mean while, some of the most recent furniture additions include clocks, so there will at least put SOMETHING on the walls. :-) |

Actually this is an idea that I think would help a great deal! It does feel a bit like you're in a prison or a cellar at the moment. |
