Summary0004723: "Fast Walk" across roads
DescriptionRoads represent safety from the wind and "recovered" terrain. It would be nice if you could auto walk along them.

How this would be implemented, I'm not sure. A rogue-like walk command that takes you to the next decision point would be fast, but might make exploring along a road difficult. Maybe just the ability to hold down a movement key along roads.

In terms of traversing very large worlds, I think a fast travel system of some sort would be very beneficial. Quite what or how, I'm not sure at the moment.

I agree that roads seem like a logical choice... but implementation does seem tricky.

Or even having a set of buttons that will cycle you between your various found/visited settlements and wind shelters?

Even being able to hold down a direction key and slide along while on the roads would be handy; since roads never lead into the ocean it would be a safe way to get around quickly.
