| Description | It looks like the Crippled Dragon image used in the descriptions (such as the region tooltip attached) isn't sufficiently cropped or something. Or maybe the text is just terrified of being set on fire and is cowering in the corner. | ||||

Actually, there's a more general consistency issue with these images. For example, the Giant Amoeba is much bigger then the others, and the Skelebot Sniper is hard to see on the brown tooltip background. |

A lot of this isn't really something we can easily do something about. The reason is that these images are NOT cropped -- they are having to be square powers of two to work on all graphics cards, so they are bottom-oriented into the smallest power of two square that can fit them. That in turn leads to this, unless we keep track of how much we want to offset them upwards, which we might have to do at some point, but strikes me as a low-value activity at the moment. |

Ah, those pesky graphics cards. We should all go back to green text consoles! Eighty by twenty four! Viva La ANSI! Yeah, this is probably not worth all that effort at the moment. It's one of those little polish things that make the finished product look that much more professional, but I'd prefer to have you guys working on game balance or more content or whatever for now. (Besides, that stuff's so much more interesting than messing about with image sizes.) |
