Description | I'm sure these are areas that will have a lot of fleshing out later, but just tried them with newer patches and thought feedback might help future development in those areas. Bear trap is never good to use. It takes a long time to set one compared to casting a spell, has a long recharge, and even on chunks 10 levels lower than the player they do about 30% damage to a trash mob. Add in that they can't be used on flying creatures and its rough. Perhaps they should be on par with death touch leveled with character in damage? That or have them be mostly utility items - ie lock a creature in place for x seconds. Rhinos also are weak damage wise, but I was seeing them more as a moving meat shield / distraction mostly. I don't think the amount of damage/ distraction was worth 0.5 health scroll each, but they were fast to cast at least. Was thinking if they could have a chance of knock back (not 100% or they would be a wrecking ball) I could see using them when trying to run through higher level outdoor areas to the next region as a distraction below as I jumped above. Again, pretty minor as I doubt many people mess with them, but thought it was worth a mention. | ||||

Definitely worth a mention, these are something we need to get the balanced tuned better on for sure. |

Oo, I havent even tried bear trap yet, but if it's useless, no bueno. Yeah, I'd say a root + damage would make for a fun makeover of this trap. |
