Summary | 0004401: Deep area's, too easy and beneficial?
Description | Ok, I thought I'd bring this up because its broken one aspect of the game for me. I went to the Deep area today for the first time, it was level 32 and I was 25, and after 1 1/2 hours I had found a dozen spell books and ran out of spells too learn. The houses, one of 2 buildings in the deep and rhe most common by far, can contain 2 librarys or studys, have no bosses and all of the trash enamies are bats and espers, irritating but not deadly, thus are easy. The benefit of raiding Deep area's isnt represented by its difficulty at all and I see no point in looking in the building of any other area whilst the Deep had evrything every other area has plus an unbalanced amount of spell books and nothing special to make it a risky place to be. Bosses or cambat penalties, or hoards of trash, I really do think something needs to be done to make the deep a bit more of a gamble, at the moment when you step into the deep you are stucked into the middle like the deep oceaan or deep lava flats, but thats just throwing you right into the middle of the library of Merlin so you dont have to walk all the way and isnt a deterant like being dumbed into an ocean of acid or lava is.

Well, you are finding a lot of spell books because the area is 7 levels above your civ level. Any libraries/studies in a region 5 levels or more above your civ level is guaranteed to have a spell book, as long as you haven't learned every spell yet. |
|
Yep -- in terms of the deep in general, that's going to be getting a lot scarier and more difficult, same as the lava flats. Right now the deep in particular is just a visual theme for the most part and doesn't really play into the mild horror elements or extreme difficulty monsters that I ultimately have planned for it. |

Well I'll close this issue then, but still at the moment it still seems a very easy area to abuse, with the huge number of yellow rooms that each area can contain. Just wanted to get that across since its been bugging me |
