| Description | Maybe it's just me, but every time I see an NPC refer to a singular evil overlord as 'they' or talk about 'their' lieutenants, it makes me grit my teeth. Sure, I know the singular they is becoming more acceptable, but generally it's only used it situations where 'he or she' would be the more proper phrase to use, and it's only accepted there when it makes conversation less stilted. When talking about a specific, knowable person, you're going to use normal pronouns. He, she, or it. If these evil overlords are all monsters (haven't seen one yet) then using 'it' should be perfectly fine. | ||||
