Description | This would be something that would be really important to go along with the skelebot snipers and any other ranged enemies. This would basically be getting players into a more tactical sort of gameplay with that sort of enemy, especially if they want to play against higher-level foes compared to themselves. The energy shield would just briefly throw up a bubble of protection, perhaps for 0.5 to 1 seconds, I'm not sure, and it would reduce the damage of all incoming damage to the player while it is up. Perhaps with a recharge time about 3x as long as it lasts. Any incoming attacks that are lower-level than the energy shield spell would be completely blocked, and then probably the reduction drops by 20% for every level equal to or above the level of the shield spell? So if the spell is level 20, and so is the attack, then it's at 80% reduction, and if the attack is one level higher, it's 60%, etc. Perhaps this should cap out at being 20% effective, so that it at least always reduces damage by 1/5, letting advanced players have some hope in higher-level areas. | ||||
