| Description | I have a couple of slightly damaged MK IV mercenary bombers that are sitting next to some MK I engineers. The engineers happily repair all other craft in the area except for the merc bombers. I can fix the mercs by manually targeting them. | ||||

Workaround: Change the engineer auto-assist rate from 400 to 500. Of course, this could be made default. |

I keep wondering if it should just default to off, and let folks discover the option when their econ tanks from auto-repair. Not ideal, but this is far from the first bug report I've seen because someone had no idea the threshold control was there (which is understandable, it doesn't announce itself unless you periodically check the controls window for new stuff). |

I'd say set it somewhere around 800-1000 by default. Which might be a bit steep already, but it wont repair mk2 (and up) ION cannons and other large projects, but will again help build Counter spies and such. |

Keith, I would agree to that sadly... One very big issue atm, is engineers not auto-repairing home command stations... >.< Only came up because the AI suddenly decided to send 1 mk 1-2 raid starship at a time to my home command on a B-line for over 20 min straight... but... SHEEESH. |
