Description | Description: When chased by syndicate gunners and sharpshooters (after ambush) the POI will enter a state of infinite fighting as they'll continue fighting the syndicate units who are spawning infinitely around the player. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start a new game from prologue 2. Select any path leading to Syndicate tailing you 3. Move close to an outpost 4. Wait for the Syndicate tail to catch up 5. Attack the syndicate tail 6. Attack the outpost 7. Wait several turns 8. Observe that the fighting is infinite | ||||

Thanks! * The way that POI alarms are handled is now softer in general. It used to be that every time a unit from them got shot, the alarm would be extended. This led to two effects: ** For players who were new, and kept fighting these units spilling out into their base potentially, it could lead to infinite cycles of death. ** For NPCs who are happy to engage with POI guards once aggroed, it could lead to infinite fighting. ** Now the POI alarm only increases if it's already on. So in theory, NPCs should not be able to keep them infinitely aggroed, but I have not tested that very well. Players definitely won't, because of the staggering between turns. But for NPCs... it's possible that they might still get into an infinite loop of it. Requires testing. |
