Summary | 0029123: Suggestion - Tweak the machinist/homeless logic | ||||
Description | Description: Currently the machinist will steal civilians until city runs out of homeless people to invite to the tower. Which could lead to several issues coming to CH2. Suggestions: - Add a toast notification or project around hacking (Like with Bastion or Deals): - Force the logic behind "Stop Shelter Coordinators", this could be explained with a adjustment to the description in the toast notification about how some of them were kidnapped and the rest ran away or was otherwise hidden by the AI - Alternatively, suggest player uses the "Stop Shelter Coordinators" order within the project and use the later suggestion about "stealing people" - Provide a "lose" condition that will lead to a different route if Machinist stole too many people (probably not feasible, or desired, but the idea would be for the mech to leave afterwards) - Periodically spawn more homeless people to reflect the: "There is an almost infinite pool of people willing to move into the city" (This could lead to issues like integer/float/double/etc. overflows or player running out of playable space. However it should be fine if there'll be a cap on when the homeless can spawn and where they can spawn. E.g. Homeless will spawn only if value is below x and will spawn away from the tower or buildings in general to give the player some space [Also "paving over squalor" should help a lot with the space part]) - Add an interaction to steal the people back from prisons which would give a stable source of the settled residents but could lead to later repercussions of: "AI freed and settled actual criminals" (This would require some kind of crime rate framework and system, so might not be desired) | ||||
