| Description | Description: Menu tracks the last save made instead of checking for any saves and then selecting the most recent one. This can cause confusion and seriously frighten the player if they choose to delete the profile (or save itself) containing the tracked save. Since deleting it will revert the menu to the first time boot state so instead of seeing "continue" and "start another profile" they will see the "begin" button. This state suggests that all saves were deleted and not only the selected one. Steps to reproduce: 1. Boot the title with a pre-existing saves available 2. Select Load Optional: Back-up your most recent save 3. Using the delete mode delete the most recent save | ||||

This is working as intended, and how all prior Arcen titles have functioned for about 12 years. Ever since clouds saves, really. With half a million players, never had anyone remark on this. There are many cases where the dates on files are wrong, and I ran into this a lot in the past. Sometimes when cloud saves put a file from one machine onto another, they do not set the OS date in a way that makes sense. So people would wind up having happen is that every time they switched machines, the wrong save would be highlighted, or sometimes a random one. Users starting multiple profiles is really not an expected flow generally, aside from testers, anyway. The normal flow will be for testers to create a single profile and play it forever. If they put in 50 hours or 500, it will all be one profile, typically. |
