Summary | 0028419: Enable End Turn button from the start (was: Confusing: Is there a way to end turn early?)
Description | I brought all my androids into position in the initial fight and wanted to end my turn early - i.e. with some AP being left on some units. I was not able to do this using space. I also found no other way to do it in the UI. Did I miss something? Can provide a save later if need be. EDIT: Turns out there seems to be a button for this later on. I would like to suggest enabling it from the start to prevent confusion, possibly backed up by an extra “are you sure” pop up to prevent tutorial flow from being broken.

there is a button on the top left of the turn turn indicator with the hotkey of '0'. Although if you're still very early in the prologue it might not be unlocked yet. |
|
Then that likely was my issue, since I was still in turn 1 I think. Maybe it would be better to enable that button from the start to prevent confusion? If there was a clarity reason to omit it e.g. to prevent a premature end turn from breaking tutorial flow maybe an extra tooltip or pop up during prologue could prevent a premature end turn? |

I don't think that button is unlocked until shortly into Chapter 1. Before that, you have to make sure that all units use their AP before you can advance. The cleanest way to do that id to use 'Gather'. But I don't think that's unlocked at this point into the Prologue. I think the assumption here is that the player would naturally use all their available AP positioning and taking shots with the rest. But if you want to wait an extra turn before starting the fight then you can't easily do that at this point in the game. |

Yeah I'm checking out the tutorial again, it would probably be reasonable to unlock it right when you attack the first investigator and free-form movement becomes available. |

* The "skip to next turn" button now unlocks on turn 2 of the prologue, rather than being something off limits until chapter one. This makes a lot more sense. |
