Summary0002709: Spire Shield Ship jumps around when trying to get to a location
DescriptionIn the save, I have a Spire Shield Ship (on the planet Family Rhonkar) which I've told to FRD in the middle of my fleet. When it gets there, it jumps a short distance away, tries to get there again, jumps to different point, tries again, rinse and repeat. It only happens when most of my fleet is concentrated at that location, and stops when they're off destroying things.

Normally I would say there is nothing wrong and that this is a normal collision resolving behavior. But Spirecraft Shield ships are supposed to have a low "bump out of the way" priority. That is to say, the other ships should be pushed aside, not the spirecraft shield. Weird.

@TechSY730: It looks like the collision resolve behavior, except the Shield Ship is instantly jumping to where the collision behavior is trying to take it, not moving. The result is that it's randomly teleporting around my fleet.

Also, this is unrelated and may be due to me misunderstanding the supply system, but shouldn't I have supply at Getsu Fune next door?

Now that I've been paying attention to it, I've noticed that AI ships might be doing the same thing. Often, when the AI attacks one of my worlds, several of their ships seem to be randomly teleported to different spots in the planet.

For the AI ships, do you have a military command post on that planet by chance?

Yeah, the military command post got a new ability recently where its shots cause hit enemy ships to be teleported across the map.

What c4sc4 said. They forgot to update the military command station's description as such, which is probably why you got surprised by this behavior. (In fact, they forgot to update a lot of descriptions. Kieth has already apologized about that on the forums, so I'm not going to hound them about it.)
