Description | My engineers are not repairing captured or mercenary ships unless I specifically direct them to repair each damaged ship of this type. I've attached a saved game demonstrating this shocking laziness in the mercenary case. (It's possible that this is a problem with mk IV ships rather than stolen or merc vessels, but I don't have a game suitable for testing this hypothesis. I checked that it isn't engine damage or motion related, because my search for similar issues turned up that bug.) | ||||

Its the default "don't auto repair or help construct if it costs more than this per second" value. It defaults to 400, which some of the mercenary ships do cost more than 400/s to repair. The default value may need a little bumping up. EDIT: You can change this value for your game in the controls. It has a name like "Do not auto assist large projects" or something. |

Ah, cool, thanks. I've never actually changed that from the default, and I forgot that it even existed. |

Personally I find it works best set between about 650-800, dont push it far above that or you may find yourself without resources (usually at the worst possible moments). |

I just registered only to report this bug, and now I find out it's not a bug as such. :( |
