I believe that would be intended. It makes it easier to track down if you have something actually aggressive and hiding, or just reclaimers or engineers hanging around somewhere. |

If that was the case it'd be listed in the planet summary. |

Just want to mention it would be nice if this behavior was controllable as an option during game creation. I say this because when I was new to the game I found it immensely helpful to have that information to really understand what was going on. Until you get used to things like cloaked engineers, mine fields, guard posts, and such, being able to see what is actually cloaked really helps in making things not as overwhelming. So maybe a "Hide Cloak Unit Types" option.
As an alternative, maybe some units could be made "Scout Advanced" and give this information. Good candidates would be Command Stations and maybe the Scout Starship? |

I think you already need a scout on the planet to get the Cloaked units entry to appear, and it is very useful to know if the 75 cloaked units listed is EyeBots or Rebuilders.
Most importantly, though, it is essential to be able to know if there is a Stealth Guard Post hidden somewhere in the system! |

The difference between a Scout and the Advanced Scout would be a Scout would just tell you how many total units are cloaked in a system, but not their types. Which is what this ticket is suggesting should be the proper behavior of cloaking. An Advanced Scout would also tell you the types of cloaked units, which is the current behavior. So players would have a way to get the current behavior when they needed it by using certain special scouts. Otherwise they would need to deal with not knowing the exact ship types. |

What about my suggestion at 0006422:0020391 ? (I should really move it to a separate suggestion) |
