DescriptionI set off a Mark III Nuclear Warhead to celebrate the New Year, and was sadly disappointed. The tooltip suggests it should be possible to fight after one is set off, but you are essentially limited to 30,000 power with 70,000 AI ships incoming in wave form (gotta love that Core Raid Engine).

The core of the problem is that power plants require supply, and no supply is available, even in your home system. Your Fallen Spire ships, Human Resistance ships, and your golems will survive, but you have to scrap all but a handful to be able to fire even one gun. Even low-power mode is hideously expensive, in the case of golems.

My suggested solution is to change Zenith Power Generators so they no longer require supply. They are the only mark v power generator and thus are also able to survive a nuke intact, but unfortunately completely inactive.

I'd love to have Spire City Hubs and the Home System somehow still able to function, but I wouldn't be able to afford new units anyways.

Setting off a mark three nuke should of course remain a horrible decision, but having the illusion of a fighting chance would be much appreciated.
