Summary | 0002393: Zenith Traders
Description | How does a Zenith Trader choose where to go? Before, they were intentionally coming next to our orbital stations for example, selling stuff and going on. Now, not. They just directly go through and visit enemy planets only, passing through your systems if they're on the way. And this makes some map choices not suitable for trader, if you want to secure a "pocket".

It would be nice if they could have a small chance of choosing a player home. My home, after all, is where I want to spend the big bucks for the awesome stuff, not some border world that I can't guarantee the AI will go through, or some deep captured planet that probably will get swarmed before I have a chance to build anything. Making the trader not prefer humans as much was the right thing to do, but I think having them not try to go for human planets at all is taking it a little too far. Note, the chance can be very small. Like, maybe choose to visit a player home on an average of once every 5-10 hours rare. |

Yes, this is the intended new behavior, see the release notes for full details. |
