Summary0002361: Hive/Botnet Golem Firepower rating too high
DescriptionA fully loaded Hive golem currently has a firepower rating of 28010, making the AI build up huge numbers of units (4000-6000 Mk IV).

Also, the Botnet Golem counts for 100000 firepower.
It is nice, but not worth 100x the rest of my fleet.
For comparison:
Armored golem: 500
Cursed golem: 320
Black Widow golem: 300
All of my fleetships and starships combined: 518

What I wanted to say with this:
I can currently block any AI incursions into a system other than waves just by placing a hive or botnet golem there. Largest buildup I witnessed was 6000 mainly T IV ships free thread on one side of the wormhole. When I retreated my hive golem into a neighboring system for a second, they swarmed my planet and devastated it although I instantly moved it back and released the wasps.

Not anymore. Thankfully, they removed the HP portion of the firepower calculation. Now fortresses (Mk I) give only 130 or so firepower.

Back on topic.

Before we can call this as a bug or a balance issue, we need to know the firepower rating of a single wasp ship (or whatever the hive golem spawns)

If the (firepower of a wasp*max transport size of the golem) + firepower of the golem itself = 28010, then this is a balance issue. (28010 would mean way, WAY overpowered once all the wasps are deployed, even by golem standards)

If this formula does not add up to what you are seeing, then this is a straight up bug.

The Hive Golem does have pretty insane firepower while the wasps are out but since they are timed it can't sustain that firepower for long.

The Botnet golem has 1 billion damage per volley, no surprise the formula gets confused by that.

well, dps-wise these values are fine (botnet golem has 500m dps, wasps have 140m)
but still it overstates the value real value of these ships by much.
